When Jesus came to that place, he looked up and saw him and said to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for I must stay at your house today." Luke 19:5
All his life Zacchaeus had been rejected because of his social position. But Jesus not only saw him, but also called him by name. Jesus showed that he knew him. Think for a moment of the surprise Zacchaeus must have felt.
How did Jesus know your name? The Bible says in John 2:24 that Jesus knew everyone. God not only knows where we are, He knows who we are. He knows what you are going through, He knows your secrets, your mistakes, your pain and scars etc. He knows us better than we can imagine and He cares about us personally.
You may be afraid to approach Jesus because you think He will reject you for all the things you have done wrong. Today Jesus wants you to remember how much He loves you.
Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Though she forget, I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.. Isaiah 49:15-16
When Jesus died on the cross and stretched out his arms and the soldiers hammered nails into his hands, your name was engraved there. When you get to heaven, there will be no scars on anyone except Jesus. He's going to have those scars for eternity to remind us how much he loves us.
Put your trust in Him. Jesus knows you and wants to save you from eternal damnation. Give your life to Him.
The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. Nahum 1:7
