The Great Commission is not an option to consider; this is a commandment that we must all obey. 

It is surprising to see that many work hard to write mission statements when we already have one, it is known as the Great Commission. We are simply to do what it says. In the original language, these words are a command. That is why we call this the Great Commission. 

The Bible says: “and to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” James 4:17

So to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. This is called the sin of omission, which is not doing what we are supposed to do. These words were given to every follower of Jesus. If I am his disciple, I am commanded to go and make disciples. 

We cannot wait for the world to come to us. If you are a child of God, God is waiting for you to come. 

The Great Commission is not something that was given to a small group of trained and educated people. It was given to all Christians, to the whole Church. It is something that we should all naturally participate in every day.
